This page really should be dedicated to just J.Crew, considering that about 75% of my wardrobe is from them.  However, I figure it is worth listing some of the other places where I like to shop as well as some sizing stats for those who may be using this as a guide for how to buy.

J.Crew sizing
  • J.Crew tops: size 6 (tees are either S or M)
  • J.Crew jackets/blazers: size 6 or 8, depending on the cut.  The majority of what I have are size 6.
  • J.Crew jeans and denim: size 29 or 30
  • J.Crew pants: size 8
  • J.Crew dresses: size 6 or 8, depending on the cut and material
  • J.Crew skirts: usually an 8 for suiting/pencil skirts, and sometimes a size 6 will work for looser cuts
  • J.Crew shoes: ranges from 8.5 to 9.5 (I have to size up for the patent leather shoes)
FYI, I am just a shade under 5'6" and I have a relatively hourglass veering towards a pear shape - 36"-29"-39"- with my body being slightly larger on the bottom.

The thing that I have come to adore about J.Crew is that the sizing is so consistent.  I rarely have to go and find a different size when I buy in the store or online, which is a huge timesaver.  And while their clothes are a little more pricey (although I tend to wait for the sales), they last for a really long time and are well made.  I keep trying to tell my husband that they are investments, like fine art or wine or our 401K.  Not working so well with that.
